Today, we decided to fight the crowds and do a little shopping. We had all of our Christmas shopping done, but we picked up some See's chocolates and peanut brittle, a tradition for the holiday.
The kids have wanted to do a gingerbread house since we did one last year. While we were at Costco, we found this kit and decided to pick it up for a Christmas Eve activity. While Amanda made dinner, the kids and I put the gingerbread house together. I was the icing man! The deal was that they could put candy wherever they wanted and they would just tell me where to put the icing. They were very good bosses. After dinner, Amanda helped me put the finishing touches on it. I think it turned out pretty well. Now we're all prepped for the big day.
